To summarize the impact of the Bottom-Up Budgeting program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), some notable Local Government Units (LGUs) who have exemplary best practices on its BUB implementation have shared their experiences and knowledge through a Mindanao-wide Knowledge Forum last February 8, 2017 at the N Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
The event was attended by the different DILG regional offices; Regions IX, X, XII, XII, and XIII together with some LGUs in Mindanao. Present also in the event were the Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil of Region IX, Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe of Region X, and Regional Director Lilibeth A. Famacion of the CARAGA Region.
DILG IX to host Regional Dialogues on Open Government Partnership, Participatory Government in Zamboanga City
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zamboanga Peninsula Region will host the Regional Dialogues on Open Government Partnership and Participatory Government that will be attended by the delegates from Region IX, X and ARMM on February 19-22, 2018 at Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City.
Regional and Provincial Directors, representatives from the different Civil Service Organizations, Academe, Local Government Units (LGUs), Business Community, Department of Budget Management (DBM), and National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) will grace the event to discuss various issues on Open Government Partnership and Participatory Government.
Interested and qualified applicants should signify their interest in writing. Attach the following documents to the application letter and send to the address below not later than February 19, 2018
- Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with recent passport-sized picture (CS Form No. 212, Revised 2017) which can be downloaded at www.csc.gov.ph;
- Performance rating in the present position for one (1) year (if applicable);
- Photocopy of certificate of eligibility/rating/license; and
- Photocopy of Transcript of Records.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) released PHP37.4 million to 18 Local Government Units (LGU) as part of its Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) program.
The 18 LGUs have passed and were conferred with the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) last year, which entitles the LGUs to access the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF), and provides opportunity to access loans and avail other national program windows.
Among the LGUs who have passed the 2017 SGLG were; Province of Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City, Labason, Manukan, Pinan, Siocon, Bayog, Dumalinao, Mahayag, Molave, Ramon Magsaysay, San Pablo, Tambulig, Tukuran, Vicenzo Sagun, Imelda, Siay and Tungawan.
