Pagadian City- Department of the Interior and Local Government will conduct Regional Poverty Reduction Action Team (RPRAT) 4th quarter meeting to the regional directors and focal persons from 15 participating agencies on November 6, 2014 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City.

 

Likewise attending are the NAPC Regional and Provincial Focal Persons, Regional Project Coordinator and the Community Organizers here in Zamboanga Peninsula.

Serve as a venue to discuss prevailing issues and concerns per agencies, the convergence will also present respective program menus for the Grassroots Participatory Projects CY 2016.

Following the RPRAT are series of Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) orientation to the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur on November 7-8 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City, the province of Zamboanga del Norte on November 10-11 at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City and province of Zamboanga Sibugay to include Zamboanga City and Isabela on November 13-14 at Cecilles Catering and Pension House, Zamboanga City.

Expected participants are the composition of LPRATs that includes both from the city and municipal Local Chief Executives, SP/B Member Chairman on Appropriations, Planning Development Coordinators, Local Government Operations Officers, PPDOs, CSO Vice Chair. Also attending are the GPB Regional Coordinator, DILG Provincial Directors, GPP Provincial Focal Persons, Community Organizers and representatives of the Congressmen.

Such orientation highlights the new joint Memorandum Circular No. 5 that stipulates the guidelines in the implementation of GPP CY 2016 and the presentation of project menus per agency as well as discussion on the challenges and issues encountered.

Regional GPP Focal Person Emma T. Albarico said that after the workshop, the LGUs are likewise expected to conduct their respective workshop in preparation of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Plans (LPRAP) from November 15 until the first week of December.

“Submission of LPRAPs from 72 LGUs is expected at DILG Regional Office on December 15, 2014.” said GPP Focal Person Albarico.
