Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX conducted the roll out of Strengthening Institutional Capacities of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (SICAP BADAC) 3.0, on November 17 to 18, 2025 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The activity gathered barangay officials and BADAC Members from various municipalities in Zamboanga del Sur. Resource persons from the Philippine National Police (PNP) PRO IX and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency IX led the discussions. They covered topics on Information gathering, proper reporting and the responsibilities of BADAC under the Barangay Drug Clearing Program. Participants also took part in workshops designed to help them strengthen their local anti-drug efforts. 

Through this training, DILG Region IX aims to equip barangays with the knowledge and skills needed to support drug free and peaceful communities in Zamboanga del Sur.
