DILG IX released Php 500,000 to the municipality of Rizal on April 23, 2013 for the 2nd tranche of the SalinTubig –funded project 2012.

The first release of the same amount was on September 27, 2012. A total of Php 1M is said to be used for the construction of water system under SaLinTubig Program .

DILG Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil personally turned over the check to Estrella D. Cunanan, the municipal treasurer who likewise expressed her gratitude for the grant.

Cunanan said that the fund is of great help to the accomplishment of the project which had been waiting for such release.

PDMU Chief Moh. Ali H. Hasan , after inspecting the necessary documents, said that the release was supposed to be done earlier this year nevertheless, the  submission of the necessary document was delayed. However, this must be pushed through considering that this is not covered under election ban.

Engr. Hasan also ordered the municipal engineer to capture photos of the on-going project and to submit recent updates from time to time.

Project Development Monitoring  Unit (PDMU) is expected to conduct ocular visit the following week to four  recipient LGUs of SaLinTubig- funded projects for 2012 including the municipality of Rizal.
