Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Annual New Year’s Call & Maiden Regional Conference organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX was conducted earlier today, January 16, 2024, at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City. This gathering provided an opportunity for contemplation, teamwork, and acknowledgement of the accomplishments from the previous year. 

At the conference, attendees had the chance to observe the unveiling of the Pledge of Commitment, symbolizing the unwavering dedication and determination of the DILG IX team to uphold its mission and values. The ceremony resonated with a deep sense of unity and a shared sense of purpose among those present. 

Moreover, the event included a Token Presentation, symbolizing appreciation and acknowledgement for the dedicated efforts and commitment showcased by the Provincial/Field Offices and diverse divisions of the Regional Office over the course of the year. These tokens acted as tangible expressions of gratitude, representing the combined endeavors that played a crucial role in the Department’s accomplishments. 

A noteworthy aspect of the conference included a thorough overview of the noteworthy achievement and milestones of 2023. Every Provincial/Field Office and division within the Regional Office took the opportunity to display their individual successes, underscoring the influence of their initiatives on the local communities they cater to. These presentations highlighted substantial advancements in diverse domains, underscoring the unwavering dedication of DILG IX to foster good governance and sustainable development. 

The activity offered a significant occasion for the DILG IX team to unite, commemorate achievements, and plan for the forthcoming year. The gathering not only promoted a feeling of camaraderie but also underscored the Department’s unwavering commitment to its pivotal role in strengthening resilient and empowered local government units. 

Reflecting on the accomplishments of 2023, DILG IX is prepared to tackle the forthcoming challenges and opportunities, strengthened by the collaborative spirit and dedication demonstrated at this significant conference.
