In support of the Philippine government’s digital governance agenda, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX, through the Local Governance Regional Resource Center IX (LGRRC IX), successfully conducted the Advanced Digital Literacy and eGov PH Orientation Workshop on June 4–5, 2025, at the DILG IX Regional Office Conference Room in Pagadian City. 

The two-day workshop aimed to enhance the digital competencies of selected DILG IX personnel, particularly those engaged in multimedia, design, and public education. Assistant Regional Director Engr. Carmelo Enrique B. Libot delivered the opening message, emphasizing the importance of digital innovation and continuous capacity development in advancing public service.

The first day featured hands-on training in Canva, equipping participants with practical skills in digital content creation, layout, and visual communication. On the second day, the focus shifted to Google Workspace tools, with an emphasis on Google Sheets for digital automation and data tracking. This was followed by an orientation on the eGov PH platform, facilitated by resource persons from DICT IX, preparing participants for the integration of citizen-centric digital services.

The sessions combined lectures, guided walkthroughs, and interactive exercises to ensure the practical application of digital tools in the workplace.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates and a closing message from Chief Administrative Officer Willibald Patrick P. Paglinawan, who commended the participants’ active engagement and reaffirmed the Department’s vision of fostering a digitally empowered and innovative workforce.This workshop not only strengthened participants’ technical capabilities but also reinforced DILG IX’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and quality service delivery through digital transformation.
