Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX successfully conducted the 2026 Suppliers’ Forum on 28 May 2026 at the One Cecilia Building, Pagadian City, bringing together suppliers, procurement stakeholders, and partners to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and collaboration in government procurement processes. 

One of the major highlights of the forum was the presentation of the Overview and Objectives of the Suppliers’ Forum and the Suppliers’ Evaluation Report, which emphasized the importance of compliance, accountability, and maintaining quality standards among suppliers. Participants were also provided updates on current bidding requirements and procurement procedures, ensuring that all stakeholders remain informed and aligned with existing government procurement policies and guidelines.

Another important discussion centered on Green Procurement, highlighting sustainable and environmentally responsible procurement practices that promote efficiency while supporting ecological conservation. The activity also featured an Open Forum, where suppliers were given the opportunity to raise concerns, clarify issues, and engage directly with the procurement team to foster stronger coordination and mutual understanding.

The forum concluded with the Awarding of Certificates of Participation and closing remarks from PD Dave M. Barrot, Provincial Director of DILG Zamboanga del Sur. The activity reaffirmed the office’s commitment to promoting transparency, professionalism, and partnership with suppliers in the continuous pursuit of effective and accountable public service delivery.
