The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX team has successfully completed the Foundational Course on Sustainable Project Development and Management with the culmination of Phase III – Feasibility Study. The team was composed of LGCDD Chief Alvin Rex M. Lucero, PDMU OIC-Chief Esrahida B. Acas, Zamboanga Sibugay Program Manager Jay Aris P. Buela, and LGOO II Engr. Jenny L. Sagun.

Held from June 23–27, 2025, at Ardenhills Suites, Quezon City, the final phase was organized by the Office of Project Development Services (OPDS) through its Project Capacity Development Division. It focused on comprehensive analyses of technical, financial, market, environmental, economic, and social feasibility—essential elements in developing sustainable and viable projects for local communities.

Participants engaged in interactive workshops, collaborative exercises, and comprehensive assessments, culminating in the presentation of individual project proposals. These presentations served as a testament to their enhanced competencies in designing evidence-based, impactful projects.

This achievement reinforces DILG Region IX’s commitment to capacity building, innovation, and sustainable development. With their strengthened skills in project development and management, the team is now better equipped to deliver responsive and transformative programs to the communities.
