Google Meet – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX successfully conducted LEF Season 3 – Session 3: Presentation of Provincial Action Plans on Clustered Lupon Talks and Additional LTIA Grants, attended by the LTIA Provincial Focal Persons across the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The session served as a platform for provincial focal persons to present the outputs of their respective coordination meetings with the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB), particularly on the proposed implementation of clustered Lupon Talks and the awarding of additional LTIA cash grants to regional awardee barangays.

During the activity, each province outlined its proposed design, structure, and implementation arrangements for the cluster-based awarding mechanism. The presentations highlighted strategies to ensure that the awarding activities are not merely ceremonial but are integrated with learning components, peer-sharing opportunities, and practical discussions aimed at strengthening Katarungang Pambarangay implementation.

The Regional Office provided guidance to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment with LTIA objectives. Discussions also emphasized proper documentation, adherence to accounting and auditing requirements, and the importance of maintaining the dignity and significance of the recognition process.

As agreed during the session, the provinces will proceed with the conduct of their respective clustered activities within the first few days of the second quarter, ensuring the timely awarding of additional LTIA grants to regional winners.

Through LEF Season 3 – Session 3, DILG Region IX reinforced its commitment to collaborative planning, decentralized implementation, and meaningful recognition of barangay excellence. The initiative underscores the shared responsibility of DILG and the Liga ng mga Barangay in sustaining high standards of performance under the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards.
