Zoom Teleconference – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) IX, conducted a Reorientation on the Issuance of Department Authorization to Local Government Units (LGUs) for the Purchase of Motor Vehicles on May 21, 2026 via Zoom Teleconference.
The activity aimed to enhance the understanding of Provincial Focal Persons and City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs) on the policies, procedures, and documentary requirements for securing Department Authorization for the purchase of motor vehicles. It also sought to strengthen compliance with existing rules and regulations governing local government procurement processes.
Serving as resource speaker was LGOO III Ma. Lyka Patrica Lubang from the Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS), DILG Central Office. She discussed the updated guidelines and procedures for the issuance of Department Authorization, including the proper submission of documentary requirements and common compliance issues encountered by LGUs.
Through this initiative, DILG Region IX continues to strengthen the capabilities of its field officers through timely policy updates and technical guidance, while reinforcing institutional knowledge and promoting responsible governance practices to enhance public service delivery and support good local governance across the region.
