The release of the Compendium of DILG Key programs and Projects: a Guide to Personnel and Fieldmen offered great help of the implementing programs and projects run by the department and thus be read and not only be stored in the drawer, said ARD Pedro Cuevas Jr. Monday morning of  October 29,2012 during the flag raising ceremony.

In his opening, quoting the foreword  from the book, he said, “ Everyone in the Department, from the officials down to men in the field, need to be on the same page on each program and project that we carry out for Local Government units and the Filipino People. We need to understand with our minds and our hearts how we as an organization contribute to the goals of our administration.”

He further stressed that this handbook, signed by the late SILG Robredo, is an answer to the usual queries since it translates in simple terms all the key programs, projects and activities being undertaken by the Department to realize the desired outcomes and is designed to guide the field personnel who are at the forefront in performing the mission in building the platform of good local governance.

Leaving a word, he challenged the fieldmen to keep in the same pace what the Department is presently implementing that in such a way they would become contributors to the successful, swift and effective enforcement of the DILG programs.
