On his tenth year as Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office IX, Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil reiterated his commitment to improve and strengthen the department’s programs, projects, and activities for the year 2020 anchored on PEACE (Passion, Enthusiasm, Adaptability, Commitment, Enjoyment) Framework, during the DILG IX’s Maiden Convocation held last January 6, 2020 at the DILG IX Regional Office in Balintawak, Pagadian City.
Director Abutazil introduced the PEACE framework before the regional personnel to amplify their morale and commitment to the department’s mandate for the year 2020 and scale-up their performances.
He said that with the PEACE framework, DILG IX employees would be able to give their best in performing their duties and functions as they become more Passionate with their jobs, Enthusiastic in dealing with clients and local government units, Adaptable to every situation and environment, Committed to the department’s mandate and long term goals and vision, and at the same time have a sense of Enjoyment and love for their work.
The Regional Director tackled as well different priority agenda of the department that would need to be amplified this year such as; monitoring of the Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) implementation, Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADAC) functionalities, Monitoring of Local Funded Projects (LFP), increase in the number of LGU passers on Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), and the implementation of Nationwide Road Clearing Operations that may have been under looked last year and need improvement.
Moreover, Director Abutazil congratulated the regional personnel and field officers for the successful run in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities last 2019 and had expressed his expectations to improve their performances this year.
Regional Director Abutazil said that with everyone support and commitment this year, the department’s programs, projects, and activities would surely be successfully implemented.
