Vice Mayor Ferdinand J. Caboverde (center) together with the municipal treasurer, Mr Romulo Lomoeso (right), received the second tranche released by The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region IX for Godod Zamboanga del Norte under the Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) 2015 amounting to P700,000 on August 11.
The allocated fund is for the implementation of the Potable Water Supply System (Level I and II) Project targetting to complete six(6) units of potable water supply system located in the Sitios and Barangays of Baluno, Raba, Bunawan, Dilucot, Guisapong, and Rambon. The project aims to provide adequate access to safe potable water and to minimize the risks of acquiring waterborne diseases such as Diarrhea, skin infections, Typhoid Fever, and Cholera to name a few which are caused by bacteria and other viruses that inhabit in contaminated water.
Once the project will be completed, 50% of the household without access to potable water will be granted the chance to enjoy safe water.
