Isabela City, Basilan – The rollout of SICAP BADAC 3.0 in Isabela City, Basilan marked another milestone for DILG IX in enhancing local anti-drug mechanisms. Conducted in collaboration with the PNP and PDEA, the activity aimed to strengthen the operational readiness of the city’s Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs).
From November 27–28, 2025, barangay officials underwent advanced training on drug prevention, intervention, and community mobilization. This enabled participants to deepen their knowledge and adopt modern, community-centered approaches to combating illegal drugs.
The sessions emphasized the importance of coordinated action among barangays, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure a unified and effective anti-drug response. Participants were also equipped with practical tools to enhance their local anti-drug programs.
With the strengthened capabilities of Isabela City’s barangay officials, DILG IX continues to advance its mission of building safer communities and empowering BADACs across the region.
