Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – To enhance the monitoring and evaluation of locally funded infrastructure projects, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), successfully concluded the final leg of the Training-Workshop on Local Infrastructure Monitoring and Evaluation (LIME) 20 on May 20–21, 2026, at the DILG Provincial Office, Zamboanga del Sur.

The activity forms part of the Department’s broader initiative to enhance the monitoring and evaluation of locally funded infrastructure projects under the 20% Development Fund. It aimed to capacitate Local Government Units (LGUs) and strengthen compliance with reporting and monitoring requirements through the effective utilization of the LIME-20. 

A total of 65 participants, composed of LGU encoders and DILG Field Officers, participated in the two-cluster training workshop. The activity focused on practical and hands-on learning sessions designed to address common challenges encountered in LIME portal compliance and project reporting. 

Ultimately, DILG Region IX remains dedicated to equipping local government units with the technical competencies required to uphold transparency and accountability, ensuring that infrastructure investments translate into impactful, sustainable development for the community.
