Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) IX convened for the 4th Quarter LGRRC Core Team Meeting, held on December 01, 2023 at the Arnel F. Gudio Hall, DILG IX, Balintawak, Pagadian City.

The gathering, acting as a crucial forum for regional cooperation and the sharing of knowledge, addressed a broad spectrum of topics crucial for proficient local governance. Facility heads and members participated in conversations, offering valuable perspectives to enhance the overall success of the occasion. 

The meeting’s agenda included key updates and presentation by distinguished speakers: 

  1. Updates on the Quality Management System (QMS) were presented during the session, guided by LGOO II Pearly Eunice Olita. This segment  offered vital perspectives on the continuous advancements within the Quality Management System, ensuring a well-organized and effective method in approaching local governance. 
  2. DMO IV Pamela Grace G. Amantiad provided a comprehensive overview of the restructured LGRCC Core Team, highlighting its functions and underscoring the significance of a well-organized team framework during the meeting. 
  3. Presentation of the proposed draft of the 2024-2026 LGRRC Business Plan was presented by LGOO IV/Planning Officer Designate Meredel Fe P. Fullo. LGOO IV Fullo presented the preliminary version of the LGRRC Business Plan for the years 2024-2026. Emphasizing strategic initiatives and goals, the plan aims to provide guidance for the region in the upcoming years. 
  4. LGOO IV Fullo, in cooperation with DILG-ZDS Program Manager Catherine B. Daan highlighted the updates for the conduct of the 2023 Parangal sa DILG IX which is due to be conducted on December 18, 2023. 
  5. DMO II Beatriz Faye G. Carreon shared perspectives on the restructuring of the Regional Advocacy, Information, and News Team, underscoring the importance of proficient communication in advancing transparency and accountability. 
  6. LGCDD Chief Alvin Rex M. Lucero presented insights on the Regional CapDev Agenda, emphasizing the significance of initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities and skills of the government workforce. 

The 4th Quarter LGRRC Core Team Meeting served to strengthen its dedication to promoting excellence in local governance. The cooperative endeavors and exchange of knowledge at the gathering played a vital role in propelling the region toward sustainable development and enhancing public service.
