In order to evaluate the performance of the Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC), the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RIMTF) on LCAT-VAWC recently held a Functionality Assessment on the LCAT-VAWC of Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City and Isabela City, today, October 6, 2022 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City.

DILG-DOJ-DSWD Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2010 created the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children and mandates the establishment of this structure in each local government unit as a means of jointly addressing the issue of TIP and VAWC at the local level and to ensure that the provisions of RA 9208 and RA 9262 are effectively implemented.

The RIMTF IX is composed of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) IX, Department of Justice (DOJ) IX, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Kalambuan sa Katilingban Inc. (KKI).
