In a confirmation letter dated October 10, the DILG Central Office thru a Department Order 2012-748 signed by the newly appointed SILG Mar Roxas granted designation of officials in Region IX realigning LGOO VI Fiorello G. Elizaga and reassigning LGOO VII Verner Virgilio C. Jayme to perform their responsibility as the newly chief divisions in the FAD and LGMED respectively.

Elizaga, former chief of the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) now performed the same position in the Finance and Administrative Division (FAD) taking the part of LGOO VI Concepcion Capitania who is now assigned in the city of Dapitan as CLGOO. In the turn over ceremony Wednesday of October 10, witnessed by the Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil and Assistant Regional Director Pedro G. Cuevas, Jr. together with the DILG IX personnel, he said that although he was reluctant to be assigned in the said division, knowing and considering the multifarious task in the said department, humbly accept the opportunity entrusted to him by the administration.

In a counter message from Capitania, she thanked the regional office for giving her the chance to function as the OIC of the said division. RD Abutazil in return recognized her sincerest effort citing her remarkable achievement even before she served in the office.

Meanwhile, Jayme, formerly assigned in the Office of the Regional Director (ORD), now looked out the field operation as he optimistically accept the order to be the chief in the LGMED. In a message, he said that given by this opportunity he assured that this would be a great help in improving the department’s performance in general.

As they assumed their respective responsibilities, the personnel in the Regional Office warmly welcomed them.
