Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – May 06-07, 2024 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX recently concluded its 2024 Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit held on May 06-07, 2024, at Four Queens Resort, Pagadian City. 

The main goal of the audit was to evaluate how well local ADACs in three provinces, Zamboanga City, and Isabela City were functioning and effective. The audit team, under the leadership of DILG IX, carefully assessed whether the ADACs’ Means of Verifications (MOVs) complied with the Audit Indicators. 

The regional audit team utilized the ADAC-Functionality Monitoring System (ADAC-FMS) to carefully examine the submitted MOVs, ensuring that they adhered to the guidelines and regulations established by the DILG. 

The audit team consisted of esteemed individuals from diverse agencies, including Jose Ruel D. Trobanos (LGOO VII/LGMED Chief) representing DILG as the Chairperson, Ralph Rommel Torres (Assistant Regional Director) from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) IX, PMAJ Shellamie Chang from the Philippine National Police – Police Regional Office (PNP-PRO) IX, and representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) named Jeoffrey Gomisong and Vienny Dizon. 

The effective completion of the 2024 Regional ADAC Performance Audit confirms DILG IX’s dedication to advancing transparency, accountability, and good governance in its efforts against illegal drugs.
