Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – May 27, 2024 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX successfully conducted a Turnover Ceremony on May 27, 2024, at the DILG Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office. The event marked a significant transition of leadership within the organization, symbolized through the ceremonial turnover and acceptance of the Key of Responsibility.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome message from Moh. Taha S. Arakama, Provincial Director of DILG Zamboanga del Sur. In his address, PD Arakama highlighted the importance of continuity and commitment in public service, setting a positive tone for the proceedings.
In an inspiring message, Paisal O. Abutazil, CESO III, Regional Director of DILG IX, emphasized the value of leadership and dedication to the community. RD Abutazil’s words resonated with the attendees, reinforcing the Department’s mission to serve with integrity and excellence.
The first part of the ceremony featured the message of the outgoing Cluster Head of District I, Alfredo L. Angon. CH Angon reflected on his tenure, expressing gratitude for the support of his colleagues and the community. This was followed by the ceremonial turnover and acceptance of the Key of Responsibility, with Jose Ruel D. Trobanos formally accepting his new role. LGOO VII Trobanos delivered an acceptance speech, committing to uphold the standards set by his predecessor.
In recognition of his contributions, CH Angon was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation. This gesture underscored the Department’s appreciation for his dedication and hard work.
The second part of the ceremony began with the message of the outgoing Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) Chief, Jose Ruel D. Trobanos. LGOO VII Trobanos shared his experiences and achievement, expressing confidence in his successor’s capabilities. The ceremonial turnover and acceptance of the Key of Responsibility followed, with Dave M. Barrot stepping into his new role. Barrot’s acceptance speech conveyed his eagerness to continue the division’s legacy of excellence.
The event concluded with a closing message from Engr. Carmelo Enrique B. Libot, CESO V, Assistant Regional Director of DILG IX. ARD Libot reiterated the importance of strong leadership and collaboration, encouraging all members to continue their dedicated service to the community.
