Zoom Teleconference – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX, through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), conducted a Regional Orientation on the Foreign Travel Authority (FTA) Online System V3 on January 21, 2025, via the Zoom platform. The activity was attended by DILG field provincial focal persons and city and municipal Local Government Operations Officers directly involved in processing the Foreign Travel Authority (FTA) requests of local government officials and employees.

LGMED Chief Dave M. Barrot opened the activity and provided its rationale, emphasizing DILG’s commitment to innovation, convenience, and operational excellence to ensure a seamless experience for all users involved in managing foreign travel requests.

In anticipation of the release of the new Memorandum Circular on the implementation of the FTA Online System, the orientation aimed to reiterate the FTA requirements, provide a comprehensive overview of the new process, and gather feedback from DILG officers regarding FTA applications and processing.
