Pre-Qualifying Exam (PQE) as part of the screening process in the selection of applicants was conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government to 85 applicants on July 4, 2014 at Saint Columban College, Pagadian City.
The 85 aspirant applicants are those who qualified by the requirements set by the Department.
Aside from other applicants, another 15 insiders, those who were in the Department, also took the examination.
Two personnel from DILG Central office namely Kristina Laborte and Joy Christine Sartillo personally administered the examination.
In a letter given to the examinees, Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil emphasized that passing the PQE is not a guarantee to be hired automatically. Participants still have to undergo the screening process of the Department.
For those who wanted to take the examination, Laborte said, “They may take the examination, upon endorsement from the DILG Regional Management. Examination is administered in Central Office Manila every last Friday of the Month”.
Regional Management informed that passers of the examination shall be posted in the DILG website (www.dilg9.org) after a couple of weeks.
The PQE is an initial part of the selection process aimed to gauge the maximum potential of the applicants in every subject matter in order for the Management to select only the best and deserving applicants who have the capacity to carry out the mandate of the Department.
