More and more LGUs are in full-swing to implement the Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Within the day of January 20, 2015, three municipalities claimed their checks through their municipal treasurer. These Local Government Units (LGUs) include the towns of Bayog and Labangan of Zamboanga del Sur and municipality of Manuel Roxas in Zamboanga del Norte.
A total of Php 10.01M was released to the above-mentioned towns with the following breakdown: 3.1275-M for Bayog to cover the construction of potable water system level II in the barangays of Conakon, Liba and Bobuan. Another Php 2-M for the construction of water supply system level II in Barangay Capase and Pongolan of Pres. Manuel Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.
Municipality of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur also received Php 4.8825-M for the expansion of Water System Level II in the Barangays of New Labangan, Tapodok, Old Labangan, Lower Campo Islam, and Combo and also for the construction of main elevated water reservoir at Brgy. New Labangan.
DILG-9 Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil assured that such releases were given after the identified LGUs have fully submitted their requirements such as Bank Certificate, Project proposal, WATSAN Council, Sangguniang Bayan Resolution, Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Department of Public Work and Highways (DPWH) Assessment, National Water Resources Board (NWRB) Application and Potability Test.
