The Department of the Interior and Local Government headed the turn-over ceremony for the Level III Water Project in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay last May 13, 2015.

 

 

The turn-over ceremony was graced by DILG Region IX Assistant Regional Director Pedro G. Cuevas Jr. In his message, he said that the newly completed water project shows the commitment of the LGU in ensuring that the basic needs of its constituents are being addressed. It is also a proof of how effective and efficient the LGU – citizen partnership in ensuring the needs of the community.

 

Municipal Engineer Haniel L. Remotigue also mentioned that even before the project was completed, residents has already been inquiring, applying and availing of the water service. 

 

The newly constructed 2 unit sump tank for the LGU’s water supply system is designed to benefit 290 households in Brgy. Datu Panas. The project has a total allocation of 9 Million pesos and was completed March of this year.

 

The Municipality of Buug is also a recipient of 2015 BuB-Water Projects. Municipal Mayor Jonam R. Lagas said that the funds for the BuB-Water Allocation will be used to augment the existing water supply of their locality.
