The Department of the Interior and Local Government joined in celebrating World Environment Day through a river clean up drive in Balangasan District, Pagadian City on June 5, 2015.

 

The activity was spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources where various National Government Agencies participated. The activity which has a theme of “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.” is an initiative of the United Nations in promoting a strategy for a healthy future. 

 

Aside from the World Environment Day, the month of June is also dedicated as the Philippine Environment Month.
