Local Government Units can now share and download other local government innovative programs and projects or ‘best practices’ through the Local Government Innovative Solutions Bank (LGISB).
The project was presented during the Regional Orientation of LGISB at Grand Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City last October 10-11, 2017, which was attended by various Municipal and City Local Government Operations Officers, along with Provincial Directors of Region IX.
LGISB was established to assist LGUs in finding innovations from other local government who have become champions in implementing and initiating award-winning projects in their communities.
Through LGISB, LGUs can share their best practices, practically uploading their documentations through an online portal (http://lgisb.lga.gov.ph/), wherein other LGUs can navigate and filter whichever projects that they may need to replicate.
The documentation uploaded will be certified and categorized according to the Seal of Good Local Governance assessment areas (Good Financial Housekeeping, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, Business Friendliness, Environmental Management, and Peace and Order).
The replicating LGU shall be provided assistance in cash or in kind subject to a partnership agreement signed by the exemplar LGU, replicating LGU, the DILG and the Local Government Academy (LGA).
