(ZAMBOANGA CITY)- The first day launching on January 5, 2015 of the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) for business registration and renewal of permits in Zamboanga City Hall was orderly and organized.

Under BOSS, the applicants need not rush from one office to another to finish their transactions since all the concerned offices were set up in one place, thus saving time and efforts for the transacting public.

According to Benjie Barredo, Head of Licensing Office of the City Government of Zamboanga, a one-stop shop for business permit is established at the second floor of the City Hall Office until January 20, 2015.

In fact, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) supported the initiative by temporarily assigning a Fire Collectors in the area to collect fire fees so as not to burden the applicants in going to the Fire Office.

Permits renewal and registration went full blast starting January 5 to 20. Late fillers will be meted with 25% surcharge per quarter and 2% additional surcharge per month.

The BOSS initiative signifies the city’s firm commitment to provide an improved and better service in creating a more vibrant and competitive business climate in the city.

Office hours for all agencies and offices involved in the renewal and registration process will be extended from 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday and from 8am to 5pm on Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays January 5-20, 2015 to accommodate applicants.         ( With reports from DILG Zamboanga City).
