March 30, 2023 | The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX in partnership with the Jose Memorial State University (JRMSU) – Dipolog Campus facilitated the conduct of the Utilization Conference relative to the CY 2022 Citizens Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) at the Municipality of Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte. 

The Utilization Conference was attended by the local government officials led by Mayor Augustines J. Magsalay, Department Heads, Civil Society Organizations representatives, DILG IX Field Personnel and CSIS Regional Focal Persons, among others.

The results of the satisfaction survey which basically generated positive feedback from citizens, their perceived awareness, availment, and satisfaction of the services provided by the target LGU was presented by JRMSU, identified Local Resource Institute (LRI) partner of DILG Region IX. 

The CSIS is a set of data tools designed to collect and generate relevant citizens’ feedback on local governments’ service delivery performance in the areas of health, education, environment, economic tourism, and various social services available in the municipality.

Based on the results, participants were able to come up with a draft Citizens Priority Driven Action Plan (CPAP), incorporating the inputs of the LGU and the sectors.

The CSIS Report was formally turned over to the Local Chief Executive as reference for policies and future legislations.

Further, to seal the commitment of the parties towards a sustained level of satisfaction of the LGU’s services, a ceremonial signing capped the activity.
