A total of five (5) cities and sixty-seven (67) municipalities in region 9 have completed the conduct of Civil Society Organization assembly within the month of October.

DILG-9 Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil was grateful of the achievement that the conduct of CSO assemblies in Zamboanga Peninsula was successful and yielded positive responses from the religious organizations, modern groups and organizations, mass movements and action groups, political parties, trade and professional associations, non-commercial organizations and community based organizations across the region.

Abutazil added that certain activity would capture the representation to have election for co-chairman and two (2) co- signatories to represent in the marginalized sector to the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) of the LGU.

“Likewise, the CSO, as a participatory decision- making body, would come up a finalized poverty situation analysis to be prioritized in the LGUs poverty reduction action plan,” he said.
