To guide LGUs in responding to Millennium Development Goals (MDG), the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region IX conducted consolidation and pre- analysis of the enhanced MDG on October 4, 2012 at DILG Regional Office IX, Pagadian City.

On the said affair, the participants were briefed and filled up the Tracking MDG modified forms 1 to 6 which include the Tracking MDG Outcomes, Responsiveness of LGU Institutional Mechanism, Responsiveness of LGUs Integration of MDGs in the Local Plans, Responsiveness of PPAs in the AIP, Responsiveness of LGU Financial Allocation and Utilization and Financial Allocation and Utilization over a 3 –year period respectively. They were also provided with the Data Capture Form which serves as the repository of information that will facilitate inputs to the tracking forms which can then be used by provinces, cities and municipalities.

For guidance in doing the workshop, the facilitators ensured that all the forms would be properly administered to come up desired result for analysis. After the workshop, there were presentation of comments, issues, recommendations and agreements based on the three (3) identified items related to manpower, machine/materials and resources.

Generating issues per provinces cites and municipalities provided the participants an avenue to create possible recommendations and comments to address such concerns related to the incompetency of the personnel in the manipulation of computer leading to the incompetency in filling up the forms, the absence of the permanent focal person in the LGUs, the outdated and inaccuracy of some data, incompleteness of some forms, less coordination, budget in the operation and other related interventions .

During the gathering, there were four agreements made related to data collection. These agreements cover the following: not to change the template and standard forms (Never change, edit and customize all template and forms), to submit all MDG to region through electronic mail only (although some preferred hard copies for their consumption), to require LGU to submit it to MLGOO for review, checking and consolidation before submission to the region and lastly to furnish and disseminate memorandum to submit pending MDG based on tracking.
