Garcia from DOST – Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) II Alyssa Katrina B. Salomon and Blessed Christian C. Metillo, and Atty. Ruel S. Halanes, Assistant Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) IX. He shared his technical knowledge in accordance with the law of the L!sto program.
This national advocacy program, initiated by the government, aims to construct safe, disaster- and climate-resilient communities through a whole-of-nation and whole-of-government approach. A pivotal aspect of this program entails the development of disaster preparedness manuals or protocols designed to assist Local Government Units (LGUs) in planning and taking action to mitigate the adverse effects of disasters. This, in turn, strengthens efforts to prepare communities for disasters at the local level.
