Isabela City, Basilan – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX convened the Regional Management Committee Conference at Kasinnahan Hotel & Resort, Isabela City last October 09, 2023. This event marked a crucial gathering for the Department and was presided over by Regional Director, Paisal O. Abutazil, CESO III. 

The Regional Management Committee, comprised of key figures in the DILG IX hierarchy, assembled to deliberate on essential matters that would guide their initiatives in the coming months. At the forefront of these discussions were updates concerning the preparations for the much-anticipated 32nd Local Government Month Celebration, scheduled to take place from October 23 to 25, 2023. 

During the conference, RD Abutazil emphasized the need for a well-organized and meaningful celebration that would effectively highlight the accomplishments of the Local Government Units (LGUs) in Zamboanga Peninsula. He underlined the importance of community engagement, transparent governance, and citizen participation in this endeavor. 

In addition to the Local Government Month celebration preparations, the conference also featured updates on the various divisions and field offices under the DILG IX umbrella. These updates allowed for a comprehensive view of ongoing projects and initiatives, ensuring that all parts of the Department are working in sync to achieve their common goals. 

The occasion provided an excellent opportunity for dialogue, cooperation, and synergy among the members of DILG IX. Under the leadership of RD Abutazil, the Department remains committed to advancing the cause of effective local governance in Zamboanga Peninsula. 

As the Department continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people it serves, the outcomes of this conference will undoubtedly shape the direction of their future efforts. DILG IX’s commitment to good governance and community welfare remains steadfast, ensuring the continued development of the LGUs in Zamboanga Peninsula.
