April 03, 2023 | The Department of the Interior and Local Government IX conducted a Coordination Meeting with Sustainable Development Goals – Family-Based Actions for Children and their Environs (SDG-FACEs) Focal Persons via Zoom Teleconference.

The central objective of the meeting was to deliberate the renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the SDG-FACEs program, an ingenious initiative geared towards mitigating the health and environmental predicaments faced by children in low-income communities. The program espouses sustainable and environmentally-friendly approaches to ensure the security and welfare of the children and their families.

At the meeting, the DILG IX’s focal person underscored the significance of renewing the MOA with the SDG-FACEs initiative to maintain their momentum in advocating for sustainable development and enhancing the living standards of the intended beneficiaries.

Furthermore, the focal persons were urged to furnish progress reports on their respective LGUs’ implementation of the program.The focal persons also conveyed their unwavering dedication to collaborate with the SDG-FACEs program in realizing their objectives of advancing sustainable growth and enhancing the welfare of children in their localities.

The meeting with the SDG-FACEs Focal Persons proved to be an effective and synergistic endeavor, dedicated to the extension of the MOA on the program. The virtual assembly served as a momentous occasion to fortify the bond between regional and field officers involved in the implementation of the program and reaffirm their shared dedication towards the advancement of sustainable development and the welfare of underprivileged children.
