Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX hosted a benchmarking activity with DILG Bukidnon at the Conference Hall, DILG IX, in Pagadian City on January 28, 2025. The Knowledge Exchange aimed to foster learning and collaboration between the two offices by sharing best practices and innovations in local governance.
DILG IX presented the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) IX and its best practices, focusing on significant information systems designed to streamline daily departmental transactions. Additionally, LGRRC IX team showcased their vision-centered and performance-driven approach, emphasizing their commitment to achieving excellence in local governance.
Meanwhile, DILG Bukidnon shared its own set of best practices, including an awards mechanism that incentivizes Local Government Units (LGUs) for their exemplary delivery of basic services to the public. This recognition system has encouraged LGUs in Bukidnon to continuously improve their governance and service delivery.
The exchange of ideas and experiences between DILG IX and DILG Bukidnon underscored the importance of collaboration and continuous learning in strengthening local governance. Both parties expressed their commitment to further enhancing their programs and services through the adoption of innovative strategies and practices.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from both DILG IX and DILG Bukidnon to sustain this partnership and continue working towards more efficient and effective governance for the benefit of their respective constituencies.
