Grieving over the untimely demise of the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Jesse Manalastas Robredo, the DILG region IX officials and staff gathered in the regional office, Pagadian City this day.

The gathering was attended by the Regional Director Paisal Abutazil and Assistant Regional Director Pedro Cuevas together with the Provincial Director Abcede Asjali, CLGOO Paulina S. Gadiano and DILG staff.

 

Downhearted of the sadden flight of the Secretary, RD Abutazil and ARD Cuevas reminisced their unforgettable time with the Secretary citing some incidences that made them proud of his courage, sincerity and simplicity as well.

Joining also who gave their eulogy were PD Asjali, Achilles Iglesias, and Fiorello Elizaga recollecting their past experiences with the Secretary.

In the concluding part , RD Abutazil encouraged the DILG family together with all the functionaries in the region- the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) & ,Bureau of Jail Management (BJM) to wear black pin as a symbol of our mourning.

An ecumenical service was also initiated the afternoon of that day and a special mass to be done  on Friday 10 A.M. aside from the vigil starting today which will extend until the Secretary’s final rest.
