Zoom Teleconference – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX convened a coordination meeting on January 24, 2025, to discuss the upcoming rollout of the 2025 Operation L!sto Preparedness Manual. The meeting aimed to ensure the smooth implementation of the enhancing disaster preparedness initiatives across Local Government Units (LGUs) in the region.
Key officials from DILG IX, representatives from LGUs, and partner agencies participated in the meeting to align efforts and strategies for the effective dissemination and adoption of the updated preparedness manual. Discussions covered essential preparedness protocols, capacity-building activities, and inter-agency coordination mechanisms to strengthen local disaster resilience.
The Operation L!sto program is a flagship disaster preparedness initiative of the DILG designed to equip LGUs with comprehensive guidelines and response mechanisms to mitigate risks and enhance community readiness during calamities. The 2025 rollout is expected to introduce updates in risk assessment tools, early warning systems, and response protocols based on lessons learned from previous disaster experiences.
