𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IX convened its Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Focal Persons Conference via Zoom to assess the progress of local government units (LGUs) in fostering a more business-friendly and competitive environment.

A key highlight of the conference was the presentation of LGUs’ current performance based on the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment. The report provided insights into the strengths and areas for improvement in streamlining business processes across the region.

Focal persons from the three provinces shared updates on the implementation of the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS) among LGUs that remain non-compliant. They outlined the challenges hindering full implementation, which include technical constraints, resource limitations, and capacity-building needs.

Looking ahead, the 2025 EODB Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) were presented as a roadmap for the year, ensuring that focal persons are equipped with clear objectives and action plans to enhance LGU compliance and efficiency.

DILG IX reaffirmed its commitment to supporting LGUs in institutionalizing EODB reforms, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in local governance to promote ease of doing business and foster economic growth.
