Isabela City, Basilan – The Department of the Interior and Local Government IX Regional Management Committee convened to honor the devoted service and remarkable accomplishments of DILG IX – Isabela City Field Office’s City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO) Pilar V. Gudio. This ceremony was hosted last October 09, 2023 at Kasinnahan Hotel and Resort, Isabela City, Basilan. 

CLGOO Pilar V. Gudio, a dedicated civil servant, enjoyed a distinguished tenure at DILG IX, displaying an unwavering commitment for 41 years of public service. Her steadfast dedication to community development and tireless endeavors to strengthen local government units had a profound and lasting impact on the region.  

The ceremony was characterized by a sense of sentimental reflection and gratitude as colleagues and friends exchanged touching stories from CLGOO Gudio’s career. Many praised her outstanding leadership abilities and her talent for nurturing robust connections with local communities. 

At the event, DILG IX recognized and deeply appreciated the substantial contributions of CLGOO Gudio over her years of dedicated service. As a gesture of gratitude, she was honored with a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the enduring impact of her work on the Department and the communities she dedicated herself to serving. 

Furthermore, alongside the retirement festivities, the occasion featured the symbolic transition of duties to Officer-in-Charge (OIC) CLGOO Arnel O. Alvarez, who has had a close working relationship with CLGOO Gudio, is now poised to assume a leadership role at the helm of the DILG IX Isabela City Field Office. 

The occasion marked more than just a farewell; it also signaled the commencement of a new era for the DILG IX Isabela City Field Office under the leadership of OIC CLGOO Arnel O. Alvarez. OIC-CLGOO Alvarez, in accepting this new responsibility, conveyed his appreciation for the trust and confidence vested in him and pledged to carry forward the tradition of excellence established by CLGOO Gudio. 

The ceremony for CLGOO Gudio was a touching testament to the dedication and unwavering commitment displayed by the DILG IX officers. It was a sincere tribute to a distinguished career that has made an enduring impact on the region’s community-driven development endeavors.
