Zoom Teleconference – The National Youth Commission (NYC), in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), held a webinar on January 30, 2025, focusing on the Guidelines for Filling Vacancies in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) through Succession, KK Assembly, or Mayoral Appointment. The event, conducted via Zoom and Facebook Live, saw active participation from DILG IX, including Field Officers, Regional and Provincial Focal Persons, SK Officials, and Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs).

The webinar on the Guidelines for Filling Vacancies in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), hosted by the National Youth Commission (NYC) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), began with an opening prayer and the National Anthem. Hon. Carol Julianne F. Dalipe, SK National Representative, delivered the welcome remarks, followed by Dennis D. Villaseñor, NBOO Director, who shared insights with participants. Sydney Torrenueva, NYC SK Secretary, outlined the webinar’s objectives.

Ellen Salazar-Mahinay, Section Chief of PDS, presented the DILG-NYC Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01, Series of 2024, covering procedures for filling SK vacancies through succession, KK Assembly, or mayoral appointments. The session was interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and seeking clarifications. The event concluded with a summary, administrative announcements, and a photo opportunity. James Ceasar A. Ventura, NYC Division Chief, delivered the closing remarks. DILG IX’s participation played a vital role in the event’s success, ensuring that regional perspectives and expertise were well-represented.
