Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sergio Osmeña formalized their commitment to advancing digital governance through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 04, 2025, at the Mayor’s Conference Room, Municipal Hall, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte.

DILG IX Regional Director, Paisal O. Abutazil, CESO III, and Municipal Mayor Hon. Sunny T. Tiso led the signing of the agreement, signifying the municipality’s adoption of two DILG IX-developed information systems: the Local Legislative Tracking System and the Electronic Government Human Resource Information System (eGRHIS). These systems aim to enhance legislative documentation and streamline human resource management within the LGU. 

The ceremonial signing was witnessed by DILG Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Director Oliver B. Ombos and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Renato B. Bongcawil, underscoring the local government’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in public service delivery. 

With the adoption of these systems, LGU Sergio Osmeña is set to improve governance processes, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in local administration. DILG IX continues to support LGUs in their digital transformation journey, reinforcing its advocacy for smarter and more responsive local governance.
