The members of the Regional Disaster Preparedness Index (RDPI) Calibration Team convened last 4 October 2022 via ZOOM to present and conduct the final vetting on the results in preparation for the upcoming awarding ceremonies.

The RDPI which was started in 2018, was a mechanism locally developed by DILG IX to measure the level of compliance of the LGUs in the region by analyzing the data generated through the annual assessment for the Seal of Good Local Governance. The Index ranks all LGUs according to their performance on disaster preparedness.

As a way of motivating the LGUs, the Department recognizes the outstanding LGUs during the annual RDPI Awards. The annual RDPI Awards will take place on October 26, 2022 in Zamboanga City.

In attendance during the final calibration were the DILG Provincial/City DRR Focal Persons, representatives from the agencies of other thematic areas – Susan Valerio of NEDA IX, Raiyah Sindatoc and Kornessa Paras of OCD IX, and Alvin Dacanay of DSWD IX
