The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office IX signed a contract today with Saint Columban College (SCC), a Local Resource Institute (LRI), to implement the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) in Pagadian City.

The contract signing ceremony, held at SCC, was led by DILG Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil, CESO III and witnessed by representatives from both parties.

“The CSIS is a crucial tool for gathering citizen feedback on the delivery of local government services,” said RD Abutazil. “This will empower citizens to have their voices heard, and with Saint Columban College’s expertise, we can translate their feedback into concrete actions.”

Saint Columban College, a respected LRI, was chosen as a partner due to its expertise in research and community engagement. Rev. Fr. Nestor B. Remagos, STL, PhD, School President of Saint Columban College, spoke on behalf of the college, emphasizing their commitment to sharing their expertise in improving service delivery for Pagadian City residents. They believe the CSIS initiative will empower citizens to have a voice, ultimately shaping their communities.

The CSIS project will involve conducting a survey of Pagadian City residents to gather their feedback on various local government services. The data collected will then be used to develop recommendations for improvement.

This partnership between DILG and Saint Columban College highlights the importance of citizen participation in local governance. By working together, they aim to create a more responsive and effective local government for Pagadian City.
