Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX actively participated in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 13, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to disaster preparedness and resilience.

At exactly 3:00 PM, the ceremonie “Duck, Cover, and Hold” drill commenced across government offices, local government units (LGUs), and communities in the nation. Employees and stakeholders followed safety protocols, evacuating to designated areas to simulate emergency response procedures. 

DILG IX continues to advocate for disaster preparedness initiatives, encouraging local government units and communities to enhance their resilience against natural calamities. The participation in the 1st Quarter NSED underscores the agency’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of safety and proactive disaster response in the region.
