Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX took part in the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on November 14, 2024, at its regional office in Pagadian City. The drill aimed to enhance the preparedness and resilience of the agency and its personnel in the event of an earthquake or similar disaster. 

During the activity, DILG IX employees demonstrated swift and coordinated actions, following safety protocols and evacuation procedures as part of their commitment to disaster risk reduction and management. The simulation exercise underscored the importance of readiness and reinforced the collective capability to respond effectively to emergencies. 

The successful conduct of the 4th Quarter NSED reaffirmed DILG IX’s proactive stance in ensuring the safety and security of its personnel while supporting the national government’s efforts in promoting public awareness and preparedness against natural hazards.
