Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay – Empowering Local People’s Council: Building Capacity & Crafting Action Plan was conducted on November 11-12, 2024, at the ABC Hall, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay. The event aimed to strengthen the capabilities of local people’s councils by providing them with essential knowledge and skills to effectively engage in local governance and develop strategic action plans. 

DMO III Febie L. Marquez of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX served as a key resource person for the two-day workshop. DMO III Marquez was joined by LGOO II Louie Lyndon S. Romero from DILG Zamboanga Sibugay, who also shared insights and facilitated discussion. Their combined expertise helped participants gain a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities in promoting participatory governance. 

The initiative underscored DILG IX’s commitment to fostering collaboration between Local Government Units (LGUs) and community-based organizations for more inclusive and effective local governance.
