Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur – During a noteworthy occasion that underscored the government’s dedication to environmental responsibility, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX organized a ceremony to hand over a new garbage truck to Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur. This turnover ceremony represented a significant advancement in the promotion of effective environmental management and played a pivotal role in the implementation of the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Funds (SGLGIF). 

The procurement of this waste collection vehicle, with a total cost of P4,990,000.00, represents a significant milestone in the local government’s ongoing initiatives to bolster its environmental management capabilities. This non-infrastructure investment, falling under the Environmental Management category, reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to elevating the well-being of its residents and fostering sustainable regional development. 

Prominent local government officials, community leaders, and DILG IX representatives graced the ceremony with their presence, infusing the atmosphere with a sense of optimism and excitement. The brand new garbage truck, standing prominently on display, served as a tangible emblem of advancement and transformation. 

The occasion also underscored the joint endeavors of DILG IX and the local government in pursuit of their common goal to create a more environmentally sustainable and eco-conscious community. With the engine roaring to life and the vehicle formally transferred to the local government, it became clear that a fresh era of environmental accountability had commenced.
