Motorists and commuters alike would someday rest easy traversing along major roads in Zamboanga Del Norte, as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) under the Conditional Matching Grant to Province (CMGP) Roads Project has already started the rehabilitation and upgrading of provincial roads in the Municipalities of Sindangan, Jose Dalman, Kalawit and Labason.

Major provincial roads such as: Patawag,Labason-Pianon-San Jose-Conception, Kalawit Road (₱244,998,269); Jose Dalman-Tabon-Inawayan Provincial Road (₱6,080,034); and Siare-Dinokot-Madalum-Sindangan Provincial Road (₱26,958,309) are now under construction as groundbreaking activities were held last October to kick off the projects.

CMGP Roads Project aims to assist and support LGUs in implementing devolved infrastructure programs and projects necessary for the delivery of basic services such as the improvement, maintenance, and rehabilitation of provincial roads.

The CMGP is the successor of the KALSADA program which was initiated last 2016 and will cover all provinces that comply with Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) of the DILG.

Expect more roads to be upgraded and rehabilitated, as three major provincial roads in the region are set to be inaugurated this year.
