DILG Regional Office IX spearheaded a Training-Workshop on GAD Agenda and GPB Formulation from February 19 to 21, 2024, at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City. This activity aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) principles and frameworks, enhance participants’ capacity to integrate gender considerations effectively into policy formulation processes, and provide practical tools and methodologies for mainstreaming gender in development interventions.

Prof. Rosalyn Romo-Echem, a member of the National GAD Resource Pool, provided a comprehensive discussion on the fundamental processes involved in GAD Agenda and GAD Plan and Budget (GPB) preparation. She offered practical experience and workshops that enriched the learning experience for all attendees.

This learning activity was attended by DILG Field Officers and GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) Members from various local government units. Their participation demonstrates their dedication to improving gender-responsive governance.
