Isabela City, Basilan – February 27, 2024 – Engr. Alison U. Mayasa, the FALGU Regional Focal Person of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX, played a key role in advancing Isabela City’s Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) projects. Leading a critical phase on February 27, 2024, he oversaw the final inspection of motor vehicles obtained through the CY 2022 LGSF – Financial Assistance for Local Government Unit (FALGU) Project, totaling 20 Million Pesos.

Assisted by CLGOO Arnel O. Alvarez, LGOO III Aila Fae Pagayonan, City General Services Officer (CGSO) Eugene Strong, and staff from the City Engineer’s Office (CEO) and City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), Engr. Mayasa conducted a comprehensive assessment of the newly acquired assets.

Furthermore, the assessment included a visit to the location chosen for the construction of a Multi-Purpose building at Badjao Floating Integrated School in Barangay Tampalan, Malamawi Island, Isabela City. This particular project is part of the CY 2023 LGSF-FALGU and has been allotted a budget of 10 Million Pesos.

The LGSF-FALGU Projects, financed by the national government, are crucial in bolstering priority programs and projects for local development. DILG supervises these efforts, guaranteeing their efficient execution by LGUs.
