On February 11, 2016, 78 individuals took the DILG Pre-Qualifying Examination at Guillermo Hotel in Pagadian City. Among the examinees, 30 or 38.46% passed the said exam.

As mentioned earlier, passing the PQE does not guarantee automatic hiring in the Department. The passers will still undergo further assessment and evaluation to gauge their maximum capacity.
